The St. Mark Athletic Program is designed to:

  • Improve technical skill, physical conditioning and promote a healthy lifestyle.

  • Focus on enhancing speed and strength.

  • Develop self-discipline, perseverance and respect for those in authority.

  • Teach accountability, the ability to function as a part of a team and display good sportsmanship.

  • Demonstrate commitment, setting goals and working to achieve them and Christ-centered leadership.

5-8th Grade

St. Mark participates in the Greater Houston Athletic Conference (GHAC) and competes against other private schools in the Houston area.

PK4-2nd Grade

west Houston christian sports association

St. Mark organizes teams for Soccer, Basketball, and T-Ball/Baseball for students in PK4 - 2nd Grade. All teams must have a coach to form. Teams typically practice one day per week for 1 hour and games are held on Saturdays.

While St. Mark does not officially form teams for this age group, parents can coordinate to organize an SML team. We recommend the following, more competitive, organizations:

timbergrove SPORTS ASSOCIATION

Timbergrove Sports Association is a family-oriented league that provides opportunities for kids ages 4-15 to play baseball, softball, and soccer year-round.

Kingdom Basketball is a ministry of Tallowood Baptist Church to provide a God honoring environment for children and their families. Teams are formed based on gender and grade level. No tryouts are required and parents are allowed to input team rosters.
