Beyond the Classroom
Sport of the Mind: PSIA
Grades 1–8 compete in academic contests that spark a love of learning, encourage mastery of new skills, and celebrate achievement. Contest groups meet from late fall to early winter with support from dedicated parent and staff coaches, culminating in a district meet and potential state competition. These contests complement classroom studies and enrich academic growth.
National Junior Honors Society (NJHS)
Middle school students can join NJHS, recognizing scholarship, service, leadership, and citizenship. Membership encourages students to take initiative, serve the community, and grow as responsible, Christ-centered leaders.
Conservatory of Music
Students in grades 1st–8th can pursue private lessons tailored to their interests and skill levels, guided by experienced instructors. Lessons are offered during and after school, fostering musical growth and a lifelong love of music.
Athletics
Our Athletics program builds skills, fitness, and healthy habits while fostering discipline, perseverance, and respect. Middle school students can participate in football, volleyball, soccer, cheerleading, cross country, basketball, swimming, baseball, softball, tennis, and track & field.
West Houston Christian Sports Association (WHCSA)
St. Mark organizes teams in soccer, basketball, and baseball for students in PK4–2nd grade fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition. Practices are typically one day per week for an hour, with games on Saturdays.
After School Activities
St. Mark partners with trusted local organizations to offer a variety of after school activities on campus. Parents register and pay directly, while we provide space and help students get to the correct location.
